Some institutional enquiries start with a request for every available opportunity and a full set of terms.
A more useful conversation begins with the client file. The asset, amount, jurisdiction, control arrangement and objective determine which opportunities could be relevant.
Our overview includes bespoke and unpublished opportunities because some contracts are selective, client-specific or time-limited. Their inclusion describes a capability to review suitable files; it does not establish a standing allocation.
Give the discussion enough context
A non-confidential position summary can establish whether there is a reason to proceed. It should identify the principal or authorised representative, the type of asset, approximate amount and commercial requirement.
This avoids spending time on structures that cannot fit the client's position or timetable.
Detailed evidence can then be requested through the appropriate process. Sensitive documents do not need to be circulated widely to introduce the enquiry.
Understand what confidentiality does
Confidentiality arrangements can govern the exchange of transaction-specific information. They do not establish authenticity, performance or acceptance by themselves.
The underlying parties, documents and commercial proposition still need to be verified. A private opportunity should be capable of standing up to the appropriate due diligence.
That is why proof, authority and a clear source narrative remain relevant even when the terms are not publicly circulated.
Let current acceptance decide the route
The appropriate desk or principal has to confirm capacity and terms for the proposed position. A discussion about an opportunity does not reserve it, and a previous acceptance does not establish availability for a new client.
Once a route is identified, the proposal needs to explain the client's commitment, control arrangement, expected reporting and intended use of any distributions or proceeds.
The value of a bespoke discussion is the ability to assess those details together, rather than assume that a generic description answers the client's requirements.
If you have a qualifying position that does not fit a simple category, send a concise summary of the asset and objective. We can establish whether there is a suitable basis for further review and what evidence would be required.
Bespoke opportunities are not standing offers. Availability and terms depend on qualification, verification and written acceptance.
