The phrase “programme output” is more useful when the reader can follow the steps behind it.
For a qualifying client, the important distinction is between the asset committed to the structure, the activity undertaken by the desk and the amount ultimately available for distribution.
Our overview sets out a sequence for the core XSWAP and derivative structures: qualification, route selection, documentation, activation, execution and reconciliation.
The client position comes first
The initial file establishes the asset, amount, owner, source, control and jurisdiction. It also identifies the client's objective and the period for which the allocation can be maintained.
That information is used to assess a suitable live route and control arrangement. Depending on the contract, the qualifying position may be held through attorney escrow, approved custody or a client-controlled private wallet.
The agreement must define the actual commitment and release conditions.
The desk's activity has its own basis
Under the core model described in the overview, the qualifying position supports the desk's facilities and liquidity. The desk completes the contracted activity using those facilities rather than treating the client's principal as ordinary trading capital.
The signed agreements identify the relevant parties and responsibilities. A description of this model does not remove the need to assess the particular counterparty and operational risks.
Separate conversion, lending and sale routes have different asset flows and their own contracts.
Reconciliation establishes the distributable amount
Completed activity needs to be reconciled before the agreed allocations are paid. The client should understand the reporting, deductions, receiving asset and payment instructions.
If a project is involved, its share follows the documented distribution waterfall. The project budget should distinguish output already received from future potential receipts.
This makes the commercial discussion tangible. The parties can identify what is committed, what has completed and what is available for the agreed purpose.
If you are considering a structure, describe the asset position and what you would want distributions to achieve. We can then assess the appropriate route and the questions that need to be answered in the file.
This describes the indicative core model. The executed agreements govern each position; output and distribution timing are not guaranteed.
