The off-ramp.

The position

A client enters a structured trade with five million USDT. The programme runs. The payout comes back. Then what.

If the principal needs the proceeds back in fiat, in a clean banking jurisdiction, with documentation their bank and their tax adviser will accept, where does that actually happen?

For most principals the honest answer is: nowhere they have set up yet.

The exchange route fails on size. Five million in USDT through a retail exchange flags compliance and chokes the withdrawal corridor. The receiving bank refuses the wire because the source narrative does not arrive in institutional packaging.

The broker route fails on documentation. No real principal on the buy side, nothing the receiving bank can verify, and the file dies the same way it would have before the trade ever started.

The institutional off-ramp is built for exactly this.

How it works:

  • USDT or BTC into the desk, fiat out the other end

What to consider

  • Settlement instructions issued in a corridor the receiving bank can actually accept (US, UK, Mexico, BVI, Brazil)
  • Full documentation, suitable for the bank, the auditor and the tax adviser
  • Multi-currency (USD, GBP, EUR, BRL, MXN)
  • Fixed price at contract signing, no slippage on a large clear
  • Same standards as entry: KYC, source of funds, proof of wallet control

The desk clears over five billion in monthly volume, serves more than 350 institutional counterparts including US ETF issuers, and is backed by VanEck, Valor Capital and Hack VC. Non-custodial, principal-to-principal.

Most of my existing clients use the route before the trade for entry and after the trade for exit. Same route, same standards, both directions.

Preparing the file

If the principal you are working with has a structured trade closing this quarter and the off-ramp has not been planned, this is the conversation to have now.

Not after the proceeds land and the bank says no.
