A substantial Bitcoin holder may want to retain the contracted BTC position while exploring whether it can support a separate programme relationship.

BTC DER is the BTC-specific private-wallet route described in our overview. It is positioned for genuine privately controlled holdings from an indicative US$100 million equivalent, subject to the relevant trading line being available.

The size matters, but the continuing wallet commitment is equally important.

Establish precisely what is committed

The standard route described in the overview does not normally require transfer, pledge or lien of the contracted principal BTC. The client retains the private wallet, while the agreed coin quantity or value threshold must remain available throughout the term.

The distinction between a coin quantity and a value threshold deserves attention. The agreement needs to make the obligation clear so that the client understands what has to be maintained.

A wallet position committed elsewhere cannot simply be presented as available for BTC DER at the same time.

Use the verification process for Bitcoin

BTC DER has its own approved signed-message verification process. It should not be confused with the wallet tests or settlement handshakes described for other routes.

The client should understand exactly what they are being asked to verify through the authorised process. Private keys, seed phrases and remote access are not part of the information they should disclose.

Ownership, authority and source remain part of the wider due diligence file.

Treat paid output separately

If output is distributed under the agreement, its intended use can be considered separately from the committed BTC. It might support a treasury reserve, an asset purchase or a defined project allocation.

The distinction is practical: distributions become available for another use after payment and subject to their agreed allocation. The principal remains governed by the wallet commitment.

Whole-wallet or materially larger positions may be reviewed only where the relevant trader accepts them. Neither the route nor the amount is automatically available.

If you control a substantial private BTC position, send a non-confidential summary of the approximate holding, jurisdiction, ownership and objective. We can then assess whether there is a suitable current line to consider.

BTC DER is BTC-specific and subject to live acceptance. Contracted balances, verification, term and distributions require written agreement; output is not guaranteed.
